- Activities reflecting the goals and objectives of the Institution:
Like most of the colleges under M. G. University our college too found the academic year an exhausting one as the university decided to introduce the Credit and Semester system for undergraduate courses. It was difficult for the departments to find time to organise seminars and other academic work.
- i. A Two day State Level Seminar was organised with assistance from NAAC on 24th and 25th February 2011. The theme of the seminar was "Challenges of Quality Enhancement in Colleges of Backward Areas" Experts on quality enhancement techniques, Dr. Rajan Varghese and Dr. Kunhikrishnan were the chief resource persons. IQAC coordinators of other colleges presented papers during the seminar
- ii. The Department of Physics conducted a One day National Seminar on "Space and defence" with the support of Swadeshi Science Movement on 14th of December 2010. Eminent personalities like Atomic Energy Commission PRO Mr. Harikrishnan, ICAR Emeritus Professor Dr. NGK Pillai, and scientist Dr. A Unnikrishnan led the classes.
- iii. The Department of English conducted a State Level Seminar for student and teachers on "Indian Aesthetics" on 25th January 2011. Dr. Dhanya Menon, a renowned film critic and faculty of Prajyothiniketan College Thrissur was the resource person.
- iv. The Physical education Department organised a workshop on for the coaches and students of the district
- v. The NSS unit of the college arranged talks for its volunteers on various topics like "Importance of NSS Volunteerism", "Employement Opportunities", "Communication Skills"
- vi. An Eye Donation awareness Class by Dr. Sreedhar Kumar was arranged by The NSS unit of the college.
- vii. The legal Cell of the college conducted a Legal awareness Class for the students on 5th October 2010. Advocates Peter and Paul handled the sessions.
- vii. During summer vacation the English department of the college offered a Basic English course to the school going students of the premises. The classes were handled by the students of BA English
- ix. "Summer in Aquinas" a vacation programme for the students of the locality was organised by the Physical Education Department of the college. Training in various games and health classes were conducted.
- x. This year the students of the Department of English went to an orphanage in the locality called Boys Home and gave English coaching to the poor students there.
- Initiative towards Faculty Development Programme :
Prof. Bindu George of the Department of Economics submitted her Ph. D thesis at the Cochin University.
- Interdisciplinary Programmes initiated :
The departments of Physics and Electronics together arranged a 2day exhibition and demonstration programme called Open Lab. Students of 11 Higher Secondary schools of the neighbourhood attended the programme.
- Improvement in Library Service :
The total number of books in our Library has gone up to 17200 when about 900 books were added this academic year. UGC assistance has immensely helped the college library in its development.

- Community Services :
Community services are done mainly under the leadership of NCC and NSS. Camps seminars workshops and extension work are done with the active involvement of volunteers and concerned faulty members.
- Healthy Practices : that prevail in the institution are the open window system and a cordial student teacher relationship.
- The Placement Cell : of the institution takes special care to find out whether the recruiters are genuinely interested in recruiting the students. Often it turns out to be a publicity step aimed at attracting our students to join the training programmes after which no job is guaranteed. A list of students is maintained which is annually updated.
- The Parent-Teacher Association : offers support whenever a need arises. This academic year the PTA funded the installation of ceiling fans in the classes. The students contributed a small amount and the PTA came forward with financial assistance to make up for the deficit amount.
